Impermanence and Renewal
The Death card in tarot, often misunderstood as a sign of literal death, is one of the most potent symbols of transformation and rebirth in the deck. It signifies the transformation and letting go of old patterns, beliefs, and elements of our lives that have become obsolete.
Accepting impermanence leads to a significant shift in how we experience life, fostering a deep inner calm and equanimity. Recognising that all things change and that nothing remains static encourages us to release attachments to what is temporary. As we adapt to the transient nature of existence, we may notice a significant reduction in emotional reactivity, developing a steadiness that allows us to experience both joy and sorrow with greater ease. This embrace of life's inevitable changes brings a renewed appreciation for our surroundings and relationships, reminding us to value them more profoundly while they last, with a sense of presence and gratitude.
